Our Life Together
We both love to do all kinds of activities from swimming, mountain biking, golfing, tennis and hiking to creating art projects. We lead a calm and happy, exciting yet simple life and are so grateful to live in the hills of Berkeley. We are two blocks from Tilden Regional Park, an open space area that goes on for miles with views of the local mountains -- and which has a 1911 antique carousel, a little farm with goats, pigs, cows, rabbits and roosters, and a miniature steam train. We enjoy walking our dog, Willey, a 15-pound Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix, in the park's hills when the weather is beautiful, which is much of the year in northern California. Our cat, Lulu, enjoys chewing on the grass in our front yard while Willey the dog herds her to stay close to the front door. Our animals are very gentle with children and the kids in our life love to play with them.
Our community is just perfect for children, and we are walking distance from two small neighborhood parks with swing sets, sliding boards and a basketball court. While we're waiting to be parents, we enjoy hanging out with friends and family in the parks, and get excited at the thought of strolling through the neighborhood once we have our child and bumping into the other kids. We love to have our friends and family to our home, cooking meals together and playing pool. We love to barbeque, bake and go to our local farmers market every Saturday morning. Virginia is really dedicated to making sure that our diet is full of organic, fresh and local fruits and vegetables and reads all of the latest information so that we stay super fit and healthy.
Rowy is always sure to keep us up to date with the latest technology; our home is wireless and we use the webcam throughout the week to be able to see and talk to family in London and South Africa face to face. It is truly amazing! Our child will grow up in a very international household.
